2023 - A Course of Time Well Crushed

Updated: Dec 30, 2023

As Matt and I reflect on Child’s Play Challenge Courses' most successful year to date, we realize that our mission to change lives by challenging limits came full circle, as we ourselves grew as founders and owners, further developing our small business and our big dreams. We hope our story will inspire others to take chances in the new year and watch as the universe unfolds its greatest gifts to those who pursue their purpose.

It was a year filled with hundreds of happy birthdays, sold out school programs, camp waiting lists, and the comeback of corporate events that set the stage for the memories and moments that made all the difference for our new clients and our loyal, repeat customers.

A new partnership with the JCC of Central NJ, our longtime supporter and friend, enabled us to offer more affordable indoor birthday packages to our hometown clients. Additionally, we expanded our Course Crushing venue options by establishing relationships with Shimon and Sara Birnbaum JCC in Bridgewater, Meadowlands Area YMCA, Northern Valley Sports Academy in Closter, and Summit Recreation Department.

The launch of our games package proved to be very popular and enhanced our Challenge Course experience with add-ons, such as dodgeball, relays and tug-of-war for additional team building awesomeness.

We kicked off Small Business Week with much fanfare as guests of President Biden in the White House Rose Garden, as the NJ Small Business Person of the Year. We are forever proud to have represented over 861,000 small businesses from our home state, and thankful to Vanessa Schwartz, John Blackstock and the US Small Business Administration for the honor.

Speaking engagements at the NJBIA Women's Business Leaders Forum, as well as appearances on Franchise Focus, NJ Faces of Small Business, Biz Talk, NJ 101.5, and Minding Your Business on News 12+ enabled us to share our brand story and spread the word about our mission to new listeners, gaining new clients along the way.

Accomplishments are never possible without a great team working hard to bring a vision to fruition. We are thankful to our family of Course Masters, who worked tirelessly through hot summer days, rainy events, and long gigs to actively engage participants and guide them to overcome the obstacles.

We our excited for the new year and we look forward to the many contributions that Child's Play Challenge Courses will make toward keeping folks of all ages and abilities, healthy and active. We hope you choose to unplug and play with us in 2024!
